While serving as an internal consultant for
one of the world's largest independent testing and measurement organizations he
led several initiatives in quality improvement and process excellence which
accelerated product delivery time by at least 21% and reduced processing errors
by over 33%. Mike also managed the development of an innovative learning center
that was designed to integrate diverse cross-functional departments into high
performance work teams. He accomplished these projects by working closely with the
senior leadership team, his Executive Director and through the Executive Vice
President/COO.
Mike is recognized as a leader in creating
and sustaining business and operational process improvements through targeted
analyses of an organizations systems dynamics and the proper application of
customer focused relationship management and leadership practices.
He has come to call this approach
"Integrative Excellence" because it encompasses more than just
traditional reengineering of process and revamping of technology to create
increased organizational & customer value. It
includes individual
and team leadership development that starts from a foundation of shared
principles and values and is aligned properly to the larger framework
of the organization and its purpose.
His methods take into account the total enterprise including the market
and the client's customers and suppliers [Systems Thinking].
Throughout his career he has been successful in Organizational Effectiveness (HR), Project Management,
Systems Engineering,
Technical Support, and Technology Sales and Service. As a technical
product Senior Account Manager, Mike closed a 1.2mm sale to
a Fortune 200 client. The senior VP
of Information Technology told him that it was his own relationship management
skills and dedicated customer focus that sealed the deal. He is certified in The Harrison InnerView by The CEO Alliance
(GA), Change Management for Systems Thinking by the
Center for Strategic Management (CA), Strategic Human Resources by
Linkage Inc., (MA) and as an internal consultant, has worked along side internationally recognized
consulting firms such as The Highland Group in instituting operational
excellence practices and MG Taylor Corporation in doing large group interventions
to create accelerated product breakthroughs.
Mike holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from St. Joseph's
University. He is the proud father of two wonderful boys, born respectively
in 1998 and 2000.
Mike helped establish and served as the
Operations Leader for "CODA", the New Jersey Organizational
Development Learning Community (NJOD) pro-bono OD consulting practice
serving NJ nonprofits. He is an Executive Leader and team founder of the
New Jersey based Center for Business Excellence, a nonprofit support and
learning organization that helps businesses integrate new,
innovative solutions and develop relationships which will bring long term
sustainable, economic prosperity and growth to the business and the communities
that business touches (locally and globally).
